This is a fun museum and a great way to learn about Old Cape Cod glass making. You can see a lot of what they still make today and purchase some glass items. There is a live glass making demonstration and also a lot of historical glass and glass making history.
Interesting place - didn't spend much time there and there was no glass blowing demo on at the time. Worth a return visit if in the area again.
If you like glass, this is the place. Glass blowing, the history of glass , lots of beautiful pieces for sale. Pretty interesting. .. Admission $9.
Was a very nice experience overall. I learned a lot about the history of glass making, the chemical compositions of different types of glass as well as how to make the different shapes. There was a nice demonstration with a glass blower that went through the process of showing an audience how to create simple glass shapes from molten glass in the furnace they have at the facility. There were many beautiful glass structures on display as well. Definitely worth the price to visit.
Beautiful museum. They have interactive exhibits and a glassblowing demonstration. It's way bigger than I imagined--room after room of glass pieces. Plan lots of time and don't go if you're tired.
