Visited this amazing house a couple years ago and loved the entire experience. It's a rare example of a primitive village home on a beautiful site overlooking a mill pond with gristmill. If you love American colonial history this puts you there complete with all the features and feelings of life at that time. The "tour" guide was very informative.
Absolutely wonderful experience, especially if you're into history and understanding how our forebears lived.
Possibly the best $4 ever. Fun historical house tour with a focus on explaining the origins of common sayings.
Small museum for great insight to 17th century housing. Good for 30-45 minutes with some neat furniture and period furnishings.
CONS: Really no cons, I just wish I could see what's in that back room and also climb up into the attic!
PROS: The tour guides are wonderful, both knowledgeable and entertaining. Don't miss the "carved art" chains!
Small donation to enter. Tickets can also be bought that give access to the grist mill that is a 2 minute walk down the street.
Just walked around the outside as it was late in the day before closing so rating based on location and outside appearance only
