I'm going for the Fibromyalgia Clinic and so far everyone has been really wonderful, kind, and compassionate. I think its amazing that they offer a program for fibromyalgia and include information of pain management for chronic pain patients.
Facilities are nice but, after visiting for almost two years my doctor became very short with me, as if it were my fault treatment wasn't working. After seeing how insensitive she became for my basic needs of comfort and mobility I decided to get a second opinion and that is what I did. I will not be returning there. If you're going there, make sure you are firm about what your needs are. Don't let them side track you with what THEY think is best for you. Yes they are doctors, but in the end you're the one who is in pain and knows what is most beneficial to you.
I was at Spaulding in Sandwich for two weeks following spinal surgery for a fractured spine. I had been unable to walk for 17 weeks prior to my surgery. With support from my physical therapist Anna, I was able to start walking after only four days at Spaulding. My doctor there, Dr. Sherri Tupper, all of the nursing staff who cared for me throughout my stay and all of the physical therapists who worked with and supported me throughout my stay were all far more than five star. This grumpy old man can’t begin to say enough about Spaulding, Sandwich.
Excellent care! Everyone was compassionate and went over and above to help me get better! Physicians took the time to listen and address me as a whole person. Therapists helped me work through my pain. I have since referred both of my elderly parents! It doesn't get any better than this!
My elderly mom was in Spaulding for therapy after a fall; she had the option of going to JML, which is closer to our homes, but we're really glad she chose Spaulding. The staff was outstanding, she was helped immensely by all the therapy, and she felt very comfortable and happy there. She's a very picky eater, but actually gained a little much-needed weight during her stay.
