The other part of the operation is altogether different. The people selling tickets tend to be pretty nice but the people we've had lately seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else.

Fine theater. The seats are very basic and the screen is on the smaller side. Outside of the actual screening area it seems almost unfinished. Plaster walls and bad carpet. Almost industrial. Not great, but not bad.

Went to see new Star Wars, always a great place to see movies.

The seats are more comfortable than regal in Mashpee commons which is closer to us. Price is average but not as liberal on senior discount age as regal. Experience is generally good the times we've been.

Went to see The Emojji Movie on 8/18 with two 9-year-olds. I was surprised and dismayed to see 3 advertisements before the movie that I thought were inappropriate for a children's movie. The first one was for burials at sea, the second one I don't remember, and the 3rd was for a weapons store, in Hyannis I think. Other than that, the experience was fine.

Once you get into the theater it's a nice experience. The auditorium will be stadium seating... so you are far less apt to be blocked or bothered by people in front of you... unless they are still on their (&**^#%& phones.

The snack bar is a joke. First, the prices on the menu make you think you're in Manhattan. Everything is sky-high expensive. That MIGHT be ok if the food were acceptable. We don't buy candy there any more as it tends to be stale (perhaps if it were more reasonably priced it would turn faster!!??). And the popcorn is atrocious. It comes in giant bags that get poured into a front display case. Which assures that it is right around room temperature when you get it. In case that's too warm for your tastes, be sure to ask for "butter" -- in reality an artificial, butter-like substitute that they stingily dole out like it's platinum. But the good news is the super-enormous popcorn for a sky-high price comes with free refills. Just in case you can get enough of a mediocre thing.
