Awesomeness
We were customers of Centerville Cleaners for many years, until a recent event where TWO Pronto Uomo men's dress shirts were ruined, and the owner, Amelio, rejected the possibility of any responsibility. Here is what happened. The shirts went into the cleaners without any marks and were returned with stuck-on notes explaining they were stained, and could not be cleaned. It mattered nothing to the owner that we were long time customers. It mattered nothing to him that we would stop using his service without resolution. It mattered nothing to him that we would write a negative review. Basically, it mattered nothing to him that the shirts arrived into his facility in Sandwich without stains and were returned with stains. It mattered nothing to him that we paid to have the shirts damaged and then after complaining, were further lectured on how "invisible" stains can be made visible by some cleaning process. Suffice to say we have spent a great deal of money with Centerville Cleaners, but we will not do so in the future. We will find an alternative, $150 worse off for the stained shirts. One last thought..., after dropping off shirts many, many times over the years for cleaning at Centerville Cleaners and never having an incident, what seems more likely to you... that TWO shirts got ruined because of some mysterious invisible stains that affected the two shirts, or that someone at the cleaners made a mistake and refused to take responsibility for fear of getting into trouble? You be the judge.
