Great food! Great service! Had lunch there for the first time. had fish and chips, scallop plate and cups of clam chowder. Very good. Had clams in every bite of the chowder! The only not so good part was how loud it was and we was on the deck. Way to loud especially when there are children in there. Will go again!
The interior decoration is great, but the food I had was unacceptable. The clam chowder lacked clams and the potatoes were mushy. I also had the fried fish sandwich. The fried cod looked great, however it wasn't fresh. They serve frozen fish. The bottom of the fish and bottom bun was soaked. When you fry fresh fish it doesn't have the concentration of moisture that a frozen fish filet has. Last point to make, previously frozen fish are less expensive then fresh fish. I will pay more for fresh fish any day of the week.
Love the restaurant, the market not so much. Ordered 2lbs of their lovely wild Alaskan salmon 2 days in advance of holiday. Went to pick it up and was offered a gray dry 1/2 inch thick filet of 'something' from the cold case. Hope they get the market up to quality of the restaurant soon.
I was looking forward to taste some great clam chowder. I order a to go pint. The server cautioned me to be careful cause it was hot. It was not hot, barely warm. I took it back and mentioned this to them. It was met with disdain. But they warmed it in the microwave. So now the outside was warmer and center still cool.
